Thomas Hoang

Director

Thomas brings over 8 years of engineering design experience across various practices in Sydney and Canberra. He has successfully led design teams on small to large scale projects in a diverse range of sectors. Thomas is involved in every project stage, from feasibility studies and concept design to detailed design and construction support all the way through to completion.

Thomas was born and raised in Canberra. Prior to co-founding HPCE, he spent the majority of his career in the bustling Sydney construction industry before returning to the city he calls home. When he's not working, you can find him on an overnight hike in the surrounding national parks or spending quality time with his furry companion, Mango.

Thomas holds a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with First Class Honours (BE Hons 1) from the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng), a Member of The Institution of Engineers Australia (MIEAust) and is registered on the National Engineering Register (NER). Thomas holds registration in NSW as a Design Practitioner (DEP) and a Professional Engineer (PRE), in VIC as a Registered Building Practitioner (RBP), and in QLD as a Registered Professional Engineer (RPEQ).

Benjamin Pham

Benjamin is a highly regarded figure in the construction industry with over 9 years of experience across Vietnam, Singapore, Melbourne, and Canberra. He brings expert knowledge in construction, project management, and design consulting. He specializes in the design of multi-residential, commercial, industrial and temporary works structures with unique specialist knowledge in façade and building envelope engineering.

Benjamin settled in Canberra 5 years ago, drawn to its lifestyle and community. He brings extensive local knowledge to each project, inspiring designs that are both innovative and contextually sensitive. When not at work, he enjoys immersing himself in his garden or taking on new projects around the house, channeling his passion for creating beautiful spaces into his personal life.

Benjamin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with First Class Honours (BE Hons 1) from Swinburne University of Technology (SUT). He is a Member of The Institution of Engineers Australia (MIEAust). Benjamin holds registration in NSW as a Design Practitioner (DEP) and a Professional Engineer (PRE), and in VIC as a Registered Building Practitioner (RBP).

Hiep brings over 7 years of experience in detailing and documentation for high-profile projects across Sydney, Melbourne, and Canberra. He is well-known and respected as an extremely capable drafting practitioner, successfully leading and managing large drafting teams at various consultancies for hundreds of construction projects.

As the CAD & BIM Manager, Hiep serves as the driving force behind HPCE's impeccable documentation, streamlined workflows, and efficient systems that optimize our project executions. His passion for creative solutions and precise detailing fuels his unwavering commitment to excellence. With a natural ability to navigate challenges, he inspires our team to achieve outstanding results.

Dai Luu

Senior Draftsperson

Dai is a dynamic Senior Draftsperson with 4 years of experience. Despite being relatively young in his career, Dai has demonstrated remarkable capabilities, resulting in his accelerated career progression at various Melbourne-based design consultancies. He consistently achieves outstanding project outcomes, earning the respect of his peers and clients alike.

Dai holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (BEng MechEng) and is a master of precision and creative problem-solving, which sets him apart as he leads HPCE’s capabilities in the intricate detailing of complex shop drawings for construction systems such as post-tensioning, precast, formwork, and scaffolding.
